Two great artists. Two different genres. Coming together for one of the biggest tours in a long time. We’re talking about the recent collaboration between Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z, and their aptly titled (and quickly approaching) stadium tour – “Legends of the Summer”.
Timberlake revealed it was Jay’s idea for the pair to go out on the road together, and he is determined to put all his efforts into the tour in a bid to replicate the success of Billy Joel and Sir Elton John’s ‘Face to Face’ concert series. “I remembered artists like Billy and Elton went on tour together and you just see them mash up their songs together, and I said, ‘That’s what it has to be.’ We have to just go out on stage for two hours and just nonstop, kill it and then go have a beer or whatever.”, he said. Oh, and smoke cigars. Lots of cigars.
Sounds like a good time, no? We’re sure it will be, for both the performers and the audience.
